TRUSD Spring Gathering & Advancement Ceremony

Celebrating Native Graduation and Honoring CNCV Scholarship Recipients

We are thrilled to share with you the highlights of our recent Twin Rivers Unified School District Native Education Spring Gathering & Advancement Ceremony, where we celebrated the achievements of our indigenous graduates and recognized the recipient of our CNCV scholarship. It was a momentous occasion, brimming with pride, cultural heritage, and a commitment to empowering the next generation.

➳ Honoring Indigenous Graduates ➳

Our Spring Gathering & Advancement Ceremony served as a platform to honor and commemorate the accomplishments of Twin Rivers Unified School District’s Native graduates. These resilient individuals have overcome challenges and barriers on their educational journeys, and it was a privilege to acknowledge their perseverance and success.

➳ Celebrating the Scholarship Recipient ➳

We are delighted to announce that among the remarkable graduates, one exceptional individual was selected as the recipient of our $600 CNCV scholarship from funds raised by the December 2022 All Nations Native Craft Fair. This scholarship recognizes not only academic achievement but also a commitment to preserving indigenous culture.

Dillon Keller, a member of the Pit River and Paiute Tribe, was chosen for this award and was presented with the scholarship at this special gathering on May 11, 2023. The scholarship will provide him with financial assistance to pursue his future academic and professional goals. We have no doubt that Dillon will continue to excel, making an impact in our community and beyond.

As we reflect on this memorable TRUSD Spring Gathering & Advancement Ceremony, we are reminded of the immense potential and resilience within the Native community. We extend our warmest congratulations to all the graduates and express our deepest appreciation to our CNCV scholarship recipient, Dillon Keller, for his remarkable achievements.
