Cherokee Language Study Group

Let’s talk Cherokee!

Osiyo nigad (hello everyone),

The Cherokee Nation Fall online Language Community classes began on September 11. These are no-cost and conducted by renowned Cherokee language instructor, Ed Fields. There are a variety of times to watch and the classes are archived to watch later or watch again. Classes occur in Spring, Summer, and Fall. Cherokee Nation and our CNCV group announces these on Facebook. You can register through learn.cherokee.org

CNCV is also starting a Cherokee study group with a Google classroom to help folks learn Cherokee. Send an email note to svzangrilli56@gmail.com to receive the invite and class code. It is a work in progress, with resources and community. Everyone is welcome regardless of level of ability. Even if you don’t think you can learn, join us. Let's learn together. Future goals include video chats to use the language and practice, eventually gathering in person for games and language practice.

This is a no judgement zone. Join us.

Donadagohvi (until we meet again),
