Cherokees of Northern Central Valley (CNCV) Scholarship Application


This year CNCV is offering three $500 scholarships to support students in their educational or vocational goals.

Applications may be submitted by mail or via e-mail. Regular mail must be postmarked by August 15, 2021 and sent to: CNCV, PO Box 160963, Sacramento, CA 95816. E-mail applications must be received by the same date. E-mail applications to: 1talkofthetown@ bellsouth.net Include ”Scholarship Application” in the subject line. If you are mailing your application, you might want to send an e-mail to let us know it is on its way.

Applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and recommendations made to the Council for approval. Recipients will also receive a full year membership in CNCV. CNCV welcomes new members throughout the year and we encourage you to participate online and with us as our group transitions back to in person meetings and activities. To apply please complete the one page application which follows. The goal of the scholarships is to support American Indians. Therefore preference will be given to Cherokee citizens and others with tribal affiliation. If you are under 18, we are requesting a parent’s contact information as another way to contact you. The information in the application is considered private and will not be shared! We would like to announce your name and goals at our next CNCV meeting and on Facebook--with your permission!

Scholarships will be awarded in mid- to late-September.
